I recently finished reading The Alchemist. It is truly a precious gem that I recommend everyone read. Like seriously, everyone. Similar to a beautiful blooming flower, the book uncovers profound spiritual truths in a very simplistic way. I couldn’t wait to crawl in bed every night and open it up! So what are some of my take aways? Courage (<—-) happiness requires it and how important it is to follow your destiny (which only really means doing what lights you up). You know what your destiny is, it’s that idea buried deep that’s never quite left you and you’re only “job” in life is to fulfill it. Fulfill it and everything else will fall into place. I loved the lesson about omens and the gentle way the Universe guides you with them. Listening to your heart and speaking the language of the World (which is love) are two other great themes. In the book, “the boy” realizes that our hearts can get a little crazy sometimes and he takes to talking to it, in order to keep his heart on track. I have since started talking to my heart and this practice brings me a lot of peace. Paying attention to life and what it’s telling you is how you learn to speak the language of the world. I think learning to speak this language should be major life goal for all of us. Can you imagine the harmony we would experience (with each other, in our decisions, with our selves) if we fluently spoke this language?! Still not sure if this book is for you or just want more insight into these truths? Check out Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday interview with the author (see the link below). As always, much love to you my fellow Spirit Mommas <3 Continue to follow your bliss!
